  • 1. Grab the nearest book.
    2. Open the book to page 123.
    3. Find the fifth sentence.
    4. Post the text of the sentence in a your Xanga along with these instructions.
    5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

I got this from Psarah... I wouldn't post but I think this result means I should do philosophy or quit entirely. Here's what the nearest book had to offer.

"We can then conceive of a demonstration which starts with the poorest, most empty category, with 'being', and which shows its internal contradiction, and hence passes on to other categories which are in turn shown to be contradictory, moving always to higher and higher levels of complexity, until we come to the Idea."

Charles Taylor's "Hegel" Pg 123... The first time I've opened the book...ever.

Good luck to all, in all...

If you see me with my IPod, ask me about Q's jook joint... it's ridiculous. The first song has Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Bono, 'nuff said.

Time to plow through some Kant I guess, and learn Latin. Then some matrices perhaps, and if I'm lucky a paper on horror films...

I wish I realized how that really is as cool as it sounds, hmm.

And then there's the honors thesis... which has to be done in my sleep, or by some type of evil magic. So that'll be fun.

I'm actually excited about this week, as it is my last full week of undergraduate coursework... wow I didn't realize that until I typed it. Diggidy damn, time to get it done.

    Be Well

  • Yay, everyone is to busy to read or write in their Xangae... I lost my math book right before a test that I need to cram for and subsequently failed... FAILED! Perhaps my first failed test ever, 11 out of 25... yup senioritis has taken another victim, but I need that class to graduate. Which I'm doing in May, by the grace of God, in her majesty's the Queen's all-seeing wisdom...

Xanga is played-out, but facebook is still so fresh and so clean clean, ain't nobody dope as it...

    And now... breathe.

    Peace

  • Ummmm... My dad's under observation at the hospital for something that evidently has nothing to do with his heart. He's fine, or so everyone seems to think. So now I need to get back to work. I need to learn Latin. The entire language. I'm basically having the best bad week, or the worst good one... but likely the former.

Thank you Jesus for dying on a Friday. Eternal salvation for some, and a day off for all! Chalk another one up for the big guy.

Logically, unlike common usage, "some" doesn't imply "not all." So don't be offended you universalists out there...

    And I'm outta here.

About Me

  • I've not had enough chances to try and fit myself into a page or a paragraph. Most people don't think they can fit their whole life into a few lines of text. Most people probably don't read newspapers...
